Rebirth Brass Band w/ The Drastics
Given what's happening in New Orleans, it almost seems inappropriate to even think about music. But this is the birthplace of jazz we're talking about, and there's no better way to celebrate New Orleans' culture and hope for its speedy recovery than partying down with a rambunctious, rowdy funk-jazz-rock act like Nawlins octet Rebirth Brass Band. In its 20-year existence, the group has built a cult following in its hometown and around the country; G. Love and Aaron Neville are among its better-known fans. Proceeds from the show will go to hurricane Katrina relief funds, so you're encouraged to bring a few extra bucks as well as your dancing shoes.
