The Life During Wartime
The aptly named DJs Upstairs is a monthly DJ series that takes place in Schubas' upstairs bar. The series features local and national DJs, who spin their favorite records and CDs or plug in an iPod to the delight of Schubas concertgoers.
This particular event marks the official after parties for Doves and The Changes and showcases the politically active local DJ trio The Life During Wartime DJs.

Reckless Records' New Release Ping-Pong Party VIII
Reckless Records' New Release Ping-Pong Party is scheduled for April 25. This month showcases a batch of strong new releases. Enjoy a match of ping-pong while hearing Waiting For The Sirens' Call from New Order, The Forgotten Arm from Aimee Mann, Ex Hex from Mary Timony, and The Cure's re-issues of Faith, Pornography, and Seventeen Seconds.
Come out to Schubas to play ping-pong, listen to new music, and enjoy drink specials. Reckless Records will be on hand to sell the aforementioned new releases. Plus, there'll be plenty of prizes from participating sponsors.

Dig! DVD screening
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, Dig! is a feature-length documentary about two talented rival musicians, Anton Newcombe, leader of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Courtney Taylor, head of the Dandy Warhols. Shot over seven years, the film captures them as they attempt to navigate the music industry with wildly divergent results.

Help! A Tsunami Relief Benefit
On February 1st, local companies and musicians will be coming together to raise money for those affected by the Indian Ocean tsunami. In addition to tons of great auctions and one huge raffle, there'll be an enormous musical lineup that includes The Beer Nuts, Caviar, The Waco Brothers, and plenty more.
Come out to Schubas for a great cause. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. All proceeds benefit The American Red Cross.

Reckless Records' Martin Luther Ping (Pong) Party
The sixth installment of the already infamous Reckless Records' New Release Ping-Pong Party is aptly named The Martin Luther Ping (Pong) Party. Come out to Schubas to play ping-pong, listen to new music, enjoy drink specials, and celebrate the achievements of Martin Luther King. Reckless Records will be on hand to sell selections from its Best Of 2004 list, which includes albums from A.C. Newman, The Ponys, MF Doom, and The Arcade Fire.

The Feast of Fools: XXX-Mas XXX-Treme
A musical variety show explores sexuality during the holidays, and takes a satirical look at the American fascination with the military, using the classic "Nutcracker" tale as a starting point.
Performances by fire-eating rocker Fausto Fernos, Jewish lesbian comic Madge Weinstein, Elvis impersonator Patty Elvis, glam-rock experimental band Flesh Hungry Dog, drag queen Silky Jumbo, spoken-word artist Rose Tully, singer-songwriter Lloyd Young and local media personality Bill Haddad.
